Oil mist lubrication seems to be suitable for rotating equipment with low speeds and light loads. It is not suitable for high-speed equipment.
Our device uses a combination of oil mist lubrication and light oil lubrication. Let’s briefly talk about the pros and cons. Advantages: Oil mist lubrication is carried out automatically, which saves labor; when the oil level is low, simply refuel the tank ; The cost is relatively low. Disadvantages: Oil mist lubrication requires high installation standards; it is necessary to plan the pump area in advance, and the pipelines also need to have a certain slope ; In some dead corners/ends, there may be liquid accumulation or oil mist that cannot be delivered. There are many leakage points in oil mist lubrication, and the pollution around the pump is a problem that cannot be ignored. For applications with high requirements for standardization on site, I personally recommend avoiding its use.
In fact, the level of pollution caused by oil mist lubrication is much lower than you might think; when it was first introduced, the standards in the United States were fully satisfactory.
Our company has two units equipped with oil mist lubrication systems; there is oil residue around each pump, and it has seeped into the concrete floor, making it impossible to remove.
