For the water pump base and foundation, rubber shock absorbers should be used directly (this is the simplest solution); for more complex shock absorption devices, the available height will definitely not be sufficient. 3. Is a special grouting material required for the secondary grouting of anchor bolts? High-grade cement will do as well. 4. Regarding the scope of secondary grouting: is it sufficient to only grout the pre-arranged bolt holes, or is it better to also use cement or grouting material to carry out secondary grouting on the entire base of the water pump? Similar situations may also occur with the pump base; leveling the base relative to the foundation requires the use of shims. Shims are divided into one layer of flat shims, one layer with the flat surface facing downward, one layer with the flat surface facing upward, and then another layer of flat shims; two flat shims and two inclined shims form one set. It is usually installed on both sides of the foundation bolts. The function of the shimming iron is to achieve a rough leveling, while the shims are used to achieve precise leveling of the unit with respect to its base. 2. Regarding shock absorption, it depends on whether the equipment has such special requirements; usually, such heavy equipment does not need it. 3. For the grouting of anchor bolts, specialized grouting materials are now commonly used; they are easy to handle, have a short curing time, and offer high strength. 4. The fixed installation of the anchor bolts involves two steps. a. After positioning the base or the entire device with its foot bolts in the foundation area, it can be leveled using shims, after which the foot bolts can be secured with grouting material. Note: At this time, the anchor bolts are suspended from the equipment, hanging in the holes prepared in the foundation. b. After the local foot bolts are fixed in the foundation, prestressed leveling is carried out again, along with the adjustment of the tightening bolts, to ensure a complete connection between the equipment and the foundation. c. Check and confirm that, in a stationary condition, the shimming assembly is properly vibrated using a hammer; once it is confirmed that the equipment is firmly secured to the foundation, the shimming assembly can be spot-welded in place. Finally, carry out overall secondary grouting. Its purpose is to integrate the foundation with the equipment. Once the entire work is completed, a final fine adjustment using shims is required before it can be considered finished. There are still many detailed adjustments to be made in this process; these are just general guidelines for reference only. Ultimately, it must meet the equipment installation requirements.
