The BB1 pump provided by a certain manufacturer does not come with an oil sight glass; is this in compliance with the relevant requirements? If it does not meet the requirements, how can it be modified?
The simplest way is to ask the manufacturer to provide the design and manufacturing specifications.
The manufacturer did not provide any evidence; they simply said that this is how their factory designs things.
Normal, many of the pumps here don’t have sight glasses. There’s a oil cup, right?
An appropriate oil cup with an oil sight glass can be chosen; Sulzer’s products are of this type.
The originally imported Calit Renyuan pump does not have an oil sight glass; it only has an oil reservoir. There is also a centrifugal pump made in Japan with a single cantilever design, which has not been maintained for 16 years yet continues to operate properly – it lacks both an oil sight glass and an oil filling port.
It’s strange when something is rare; isn’t that normal? If grease is applied to the bearing, there’s no need to check the condition!
