Originating as a Japanese-owned company called Manchuria Work Office established in 1932, it became the largest manufacturer in China’s pump industry after the country’s founding. In the Shenyang Pump Factory in the 1970s, guards stood on duty with guns, and militiamen patrolled the factory from time to time. Where is there such treatment these days?
