Dear classmates, are the rated flow rates and rated heads indicated on various types of pumps available on the market based on water as a reference? Still with the actual medium.

Head is the amount of energy gained by a unit weight of liquid after passing through the pump; it is an inherent characteristic of the pump itself. The head generated by a pump when transporting different media remains constant. Differences in specific gravity result in changes in the pump’s outlet pressure and shaft power
