What are the precautions for switching condensate pumps? The condensate pump has its pump body connected to the surface cooler.
I don’t know what type of cryogenic liquid pump you have. It is best to follow the operating procedures strictly; all precautions are outlined in them. It is recommended to understand it from a fundamental perspective. In the case of switching centrifugal pumps, taking advantage of the check valve characteristics of each pump, close the outlet valves completely and open the inlet valves completely before starting. Then start the main pump; when the pressure reaches the set value, gradually open the outlet valve of the feed pump while keeping the system flow rate constant, and simultaneously gradually close the outlet valve of the discharge pump until it is fully closed. Then stop the line pump and close the inlet valve. For reference.
