In the production workshop of the Pressure Vessel Branch of Wuhan Yiyie Steel Structure Co., Ltd., located in the Yangluo Economic Development Zone of Xinzhou District, Wuhan, machines are humming and sparks are flying as workers work hard to produce LPG \"bullet tanks\" for Port Klang in Malaysia. The reporter saw that, with the combined efforts of several workers, a thick steel plate with a diameter of about 8 meters was slowly shaped into an arc using machinery; this is the lid part of the bullet container, and it represents a process that requires high technical skill. The bullet tank is approximately 78 meters long and is mainly used to store LPG (liquefied petroleum gas).
Bullet tanks are generally designed and manufactured according to foreign standards, while the common domestic standard design is spherical tanks. At that time, we adopted the bullet tank design; there were no evaluation standards available in China, and the legal disputes continued all the way to the **Standard Approval Committee. Eventually, experts were organized to conduct a review, and the bullet tank was approved as an exception.
