Pile foundation section: 1. In addition to keeping proper records of the concealed works related to pile foundations, it is also necessary to pay attention to the documentation of any underground obstacles; if rocks are encountered, the depth at which they are found should be documented promptly. 2. The concealed records should also be as detailed as possible; in other words, they should at least include: hole depth, pile length, rebar cage length, length of the hollow section, pile diameter, and depth of penetration into the rock.
Masonry section: The most common issue with masonry work is repeated demolition and reconstruction. Demolishing walls is not a problem, but the permit must specify the extent of damage to the bricks (otherwise, during inspection, the amount allocated for those materials will be reduced). If the damage is not severe, then it’s possible to indicate the rate of brick loss and the costs associated with removing dust and debris from the bricks for reuse.
