The past decade has been a period of rapid development in China’s chemical industry, marked by the emergence of many new processes, products, and equipment. There has also been significant progress in China’s chemical processing equipment, which has contributed to the swift advancement of the petrochemical sector. Here, we have compiled some of the achievements and breakthroughs made by Chinese equipment manufacturers in terms of larger-scale production and the use of domestically produced equipment. We welcome everyone to share their insights and engage in discussions. *********************************** On August 18, 2021, at 20:16, Gulei Refining and Chemical Plant’s 1 million-ton per year ethylene production facility was successfully commissioned after a single trial run, producing qualified ethylene products. All the axial flow check valves used for the ethylene, propylene, and cracking gas compressors, as well as for the quench water and quench oil pumps, which are the core components of this facility, were supplied by Zigong Xindi Per Valve Co., Ltd. The successful commissioning of the facility in just one attempt marks another breakthrough for Xindi Per in the field of specialized, high-quality products, enabling the use of check valves across all units in ethylene plants with production capacities of millions of tons. This is another important milestone following the Sino-Saudi 1.3 million tons per year ethylene project in Tianjin and the Zhenhai Refining & Chemicals 1.2 million tons per year ethylene project. The successful operation of this project ended the history of foreign countries monopolizing the axial-flow check valves for ethylene tri machines.

Axial flow check valve for the Zhenhai Base project (ethylene plant) of Sinopec Engineering Construction Co., Ltd
On June 22, 2020, the DN1500 axial flow check valve designed and manufactured by Zigong Xindi Peier Valve Co., Ltd. passed all relevant inspections and tests; it is now ready for shipment and will be sent to a large-scale chemical processing facility in China. This valve represents another major breakthrough following the DN1300 axial flow check valve; it is currently the largest-diameter single-spring axial flow check valve available in China.
This valve utilizes advanced and mature analysis techniques to ensure its safety and reliability under conditions of alternating stress, impact, pulsation, and vibration. It maintains stable performance under low-pressure conditions, and possesses key product features such as low pressure drop, operation at ultra-low pressures, and no abnormal noises. Three domestic technological achievements, two invention patents, two utility model patents, and over 10 proprietary technologies were utilized in the manufacture of this valve.
