Welcome everyone to share, discuss, and exchange, cheer for Made in China, and cheer for chemical equipment! ===================== The "Development and Application of Key Technologies and Equipment for High-Quality Extra-Thick Steel Plate for Hydrogen Chemical Industry" jointly developed by HBIS Group Co., Ltd., Wuyang Iron and Steel Co., Ltd., Northeastern University and others won the second prize of the 2019 Metallurgical Science and Technology Award.
The project team collaborated to tackle key problems and broke through key bottlenecks such as hydrogen-facing chromium-molybdenum extra-thick steel plate alloy design and control, rolling-heat treatment equipment technology, and integrated organizational control. It successfully developed a series of 100~290mm hydrogen-facing extra-thick steel plates and supporting application technologies, and achieved the following innovations: (1) For the first time in the world, the "low Si + V/Nb microalloying" chromium-molybdenum composition system was proposed for thick plates, and proprietary technologies for precise control of components such as complex carbide regulation and large ingot pentary slag systems were developed. The temper embrittlement coefficients J≤45, (2) Innovate the multiple production models of die casting, continuous casting, electroslag remelting, and forging ingots, and propose an integrated structure control method of "temperature-controlled deformation-controlled rolling + multi-path heat treatment" to solve the common problems of poor strength and toughness matching and large differences in cross-sectional properties of hydrogen-facing thick steel plates. The -30°C impact energy of the 290mm thick steel plate core is ≥200J, and the TI-level flaw detection is qualified, forming a performance advantage over imported steel plates. (3) Innovatively proposed the "external mechanized furnace + roller quenching machine" hydrogen-based extra-thick steel plate heat treatment model, and successfully developed the world's first continuous roller heat treatment line for 300mm grade steel plates and supporting high cooling speed and high uniformity heat treatment technology. The cooling speed of the core of steel plates over 100mm thick was more than doubled, and the heating-quenching temperature control accuracy was increased by three times, achieving a transcendence of foreign equipment technology in the same field. (4) Successfully developed more than 40 brands of hydrogen-facing steel plate products in 6 categories and supporting forming, welding, testing and other application technologies, which solved bottleneck problems such as difficulty in forming thick plates in equipment manufacturing and poor welding matching. For the first time, domestic thick steel plates were applied in batches to ultra-large petrochemical and coal chemical industry core equipment, and took the lead in formulating the "Chromium-Molybdenum Alloy Steel Plate for Hydrogen-facing Equipment"” * * standard.
The completion of the project with a wide range of leading international applications has solved the long-term problem of localization of key steel materials for hydrogen chemical industry in my country. Experts such as Academician Gan Yong and Wang Yide commented that "the localization coverage of the entire series of steel plates has been achieved, which has greatly replaced imports. The performance of the steel plates has reached the international leading level, and the bottleneck problem of manufacturing large-thickness plate welding hydrogen equipment has been solved." ”The project has authorized 35 patents, 4 software copyrights, published 102 papers, and published 2 monographs. * * and 9 industry standards. In the past three years, the project has supplied a total of 250,200 tons of steel plates, with an added output value of 11.04 billion yuan and profits and taxes of 2.82 billion yuan. The domestic market share has stabilized at more than 60%, of which ≥100mm thick steel plates account for 70% of the domestic market (including imported steel plates). They have been applied to nearly a thousand large-scale hydrogen equipment in key projects such as Sinopec, PetroChina, and Shenhua Ningxia Coal. Steel plates and hydrogen equipment have been exported to 8 and 16 countries respectively. * * .
