The past decade has been a period of rapid development for China’s chemical industry, marked by the emergence of many new processes, products, and equipment. There has also been significant progress in China’s chemical processing equipment, which has contributed to the swift advancement of the petrochemical sector. Here, we have compiled some of the achievements and breakthroughs made by Chinese equipment manufacturers in terms of larger-scale production and greater use of domestic equipment. We invite everyone to share their insights and engage in discussions, to cheer for Made in China and to support the development of chemical processing equipment! *********************************** 6.619 meters in diameter! 20.3 centimeters in thickness! A weight of 90,000 kilograms! This is an elliptical head manufactured in one go through overall stamping in August 2021 by Henan Shenzhou Precision Manufacturing Co., Ltd., located in Xinxiang County; it will be used as a head for the crystallizer in the Hengli Petrochemical (Huizhou) project

Previously, the maximum pressure of end-forming equipment in China was less than 20,000 tons; the diameter of elliptical and hemispherical ends that could be formed at one time was below 6.5 meters and 4.5 meters respectively, the forming thickness was below 180 millimeters, and the weight of each end piece was below 60 tons. The elliptical and hemispherical heads produced by this equipment in a single manufacturing process can have maximum diameters of 7.5 meters and 6.5 meters respectively; the thickness of these heads can reach up to 360 millimeters, and the weight of each head can be as much as 120 tons. This has led to a qualitative leap in China’s capabilities and standards for producing such heads.
