On May 10, the 240,000 tons per year bisphenol A production unit of Hainan Huasheng New Materials Technology Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “Hainan Huasheng”), whose basic and detailed design work was carried out by Chengda Company, completed a full cycle of operations and produced qualified bisphenol A products. This marked the successful commissioning of the bisphenol A production unit after its initial startup, and it entered the phase of production trials.
The bisphenol A plant is one of the main facilities in Hainan Huasheng Polycarbonate Project, utilizing the KBR/MCC bisphenol A process technology. Once the facility reaches full capacity, it will effectively reduce the raw material costs for PC production facilities that use bisphenol A, thereby improving the upstream supply chain for polycarbonate materials. This is of great significance for Hainan Huasheng’s industrial and product structure adjustment, as well as for its transformation and upgrading into a high-tech materials industry. The successful commissioning of this device adds another significant contribution to the development of Chengda Company’s technologies related to \"carbon three\" products, thereby boosting the company’s sustainable and high-quality development.
