Guangdong Petrochemical Petroleum Coke Hydrogen Production Complex started construction on December 16, 2019, covering an area of 220,000 square meters. The overall project volume includes the installation of 1,238 sets of equipment, the welding of 1.2 million inches of process pipelines, and the pouring of 260,000 cubic meters of concrete. , 17,000 tons of steel structure installation. It is the single unit with the largest area, the largest number of structural buildings, the largest concrete pouring volume, and the largest number of equipment installations in the Guangdong Petrochemical Refining and Chemical Integrated Project. It is also the first petroleum coke hydrogen production unit of PetroChina.
The entire device consists of 6 gasifiers, using GE's 6.5 MPa quench gasification technology. It uses petroleum coke, a by-product of the refinery unit, as raw material. After transformation and purification, it supplies hydrogen and fuel gas to the entire plant. The annual hydrogen production reaches 1.6 billion standard cubic meters, the annual fuel gas production reaches 3.1 billion standard cubic meters, and the consumption of petroleum coke is 231.09 tons per hour.
