China’s chemical equipment sector has also seen significant progress, which has contributed to the swift advancement of the petrochemical industry. Here, we have compiled some of the achievements and breakthroughs made by Chinese equipment manufacturers in terms of larger-scale production and increased use of domestic equipment. We invite everyone to share their insights and engage in discussions – let’s cheer for Made in China and support the development of chemical equipment! ------------------------------------------------------ In June 2021, Liaoyang Petroleum Steel Pipe Manufacturing Co., Ltd. began the trial production of X90M pipeline steel pipes. During this trial production process, the company held numerous technical and commercial discussions with Ansteel regarding the actual conditions of the production equipment. Both parties discussed issues such as the standards to be followed for the trial production, the dimensional specifications of the steel coils, as well as their physical and chemical properties. The technical and quality control departments developed a trial production plan based on the characteristics of the steel coils, specifying the frequency and locations for sampling, as well as other relevant details. The production department developed three welding plans based on the chemical composition and mechanical properties of the steel coils. During the trial production phase, each of these three plans was tested, and the results met the standard requirements. This provided data support for selecting the optimal welding material combination for future mass production. At the end of 2021, Liaoyang Petroleum Steel Pipe Manufacturing Co., Ltd. received a test report from the **Petroleum Pipe Quality Inspection and Testing Center, confirming that the physical and chemical properties of the X90M spiral submerged arc welded steel pipes produced in single batches met the required standards. This indicated that the company now possessed the technical capability to produce spiral submerged arc welded steel pipes with higher strength and toughness. The newly developed X90 steel pipes are seeing a trend towards higher steel grades and greater wall thicknesses, both domestically and internationally. The newly developed X90 steel grade this year can be considered the most advanced type of steel pipe available in China at present. This type of pipe enables an increase in the internal compressive pressure, reduces the transportation costs associated with pipelines, and enhances their safety performance.
