On November 18, an inspection team from the Ministry of Emergency Management conducted an inspection of enterprises with major hazardous sources of hazardous chemicals in Changchun City, Jilin Province. At the Kaixuan Oil Depot of CNPC Jilin Changchun Sales Branch, the inspection team found that the person responsible for ensuring safety there was unable to clearly explain his/her duties in that regard. At Changchun Juyang Gas Co., Ltd., the inspection team identified a total of 16 general issues and potential hazards, including the failure to make the required announcements for special-grade hot work operations in the company. Recently, reporters learned from the Emergency Management Department of Jilin Province that the enterprises were ordered to immediately make corrections and improvements regarding the issues identified by the inspection team.
