Shandong Zhonghai Fine Chemicals Co., Ltd. is located in Zhanhua District, Binzhou City. Established in 2007, it is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Shandong Zhonghai Chemical Group. The company’s registered capital is 774.48 million yuan, it covers an area of approximately 890 mu, and it has more than 480 employees. The fine chemicals facility is equipped with one set of 400,000 tons/year gasoline hydrodesulfurization unit, one set of 400,000 tons/year diesel hydroprocessing unit, one set of 20,000 Nm3/h natural gas hydrogen production unit, one set of 12,000 Nm3/h methanol hydrogen production unit, and one set of 100,000 tons/year light gasoline etherification unit; there are also two sets of 40,000 tons/year propylene oxide production units. In addition, the facility includes more than 10 other units and supporting equipment, such as a 50 m3/h acidic water stripping unit, a 25,000 tons/year sodium hydrosulfide production unit, a 25,000 tons/year sulfur recovery unit, and a sewage treatment plant. Zhonghai Fine Chemicals’ 400,000 tons per year propane dehydrogenation project was included in Shandong Province’s list of key projects to be prepared in 2022. In November 2021, the Urban and Rural Planning Service Center of Zhanhua District held an expert review and joint assessment meeting for five projects, including the \"Planning and Design Scheme for Zhonghai Fine Chemicals Co., Ltd.’s 400,000 tons per year propane dehydrogenation project\". Following the evaluation and review by the experts present, the expert panel unanimously agreed that 5 projects, including the \"Planning and Design Scheme for the 400,000 tons per year propane dehydrogenation project of Shandong Zhonghai Fine Chemicals Co., Ltd.\", had passed the evaluation. According to the Online Approval and Supervision Platform for Investment Projects in Shandong Province, the company’s PDH project was registered in June 2021. In addition, Zhonghai Fine Chemicals added another propylene oxide production unit in 2017, bringing the total number of such units at the company to two, each with a capacity of 40,000 tons. The spherical tank cluster project for Shandong Zhonghai Fine Chemicals Co., Ltd. (referred to as “Zhonghai Fine Chemicals”)’s 400,000 tons per year propane dehydrogenation facility has been successfully completed and delivered. The main construction tasks for this project include 2 1000 m3 defective propylene spheres, 6 4000 m3 propane spheres, and 4 4000 m3 propylene spheres.
