Everyone should pay attention to safety and know how to handle emergencies. ********************************************* On June 27, Dalian Shipbuilding of China State Shipbuilding Corporation and Zhejiang Energy Group signed a strategic cooperation agreement for green shipping, as well as a memorandum of understanding regarding a project to produce green methanol using wind power for hydrogen production. Under the agreement, Dalian Shipbuilding Heavy Industry Group Changxing Island Ship Engineering Co., Ltd. and Zhejiang Zheneng Mailing Environmental Technology Co., Ltd. will, based on the principle of complementing each other’s strengths for common development, and on the foundation of \"equality, mutual benefit, complementary advantages, deep cooperation, and joint development,\" carry out in-depth strategic collaborations in various aspects and dimensions across areas such as ship desulfurization services, green methanol projects, research and development of carbon-reduction products, ship hull modifications, and petroleum offshore supporting products, in order to promote high-quality development. Taking strategic cooperation as an opportunity, a memorandum of understanding was also signed for the project of producing green methanol via wind power-driven hydrogen production. Together, the parties aim to develop the world’s first facility of this kind, with an annual production capacity of tens of thousands of tons, in order to create an innovative model that integrates wind energy, electricity, hydrogen, and methanol throughout the entire value chain, thus entering the green methanol market hand in hand. Under the policy framework aimed at accelerating the establishment of a new development model and guided by the \"dual carbon\" goals, Dalian Shipbuilding and Zhejiang Energy Group thoroughly implement the Party’s guidelines, actively integrate into the new energy sector, rely on technological innovation as their core competitive advantage, and pursue a path of high-quality development that gives priority to ecology and emphasizes green and low-carbon practices. In the future, Dalian Shipbuilding will continue to strengthen its cooperation with Zhejiang Energy Group, working together to make greater contributions to the high-quality development of China’s energy industry.
