The main function of the LNG receiving station is to receive, store and gasify LNG, and supply gas to gas power plants, gas consumers and urban users through natural gas pipelines and tanker transportation. During unloading, LNG input, ambient temperature changes, atmospheric pressure changes, etc. cause boil-off gas (BOG) to be generated in the storage tank. The BOG compressor is a device that processes gas evaporated from LNG storage tanks. It pressurizes the gas evaporated at low temperatures and then enters the pipe network or re-condenses and flows back into the storage tank. The supply cycle of imported large-flow ultra-low-temperature horizontal reciprocating BOG compressors is generally more than 15-18 months. They are expensive and must rely on foreign countries for later maintenance and services. Compared with imported equipment, domestic BOG compressors have significant advantages in terms of cost, service, warranty maintenance, and timely arrival. They can reduce equipment procurement costs by about 30% and shorten the supply cycle by about 6 months, which greatly guarantees the normal operation and maintenance of LNG receiving stations. This is another large-scale domestically produced core equipment for Yancheng “Green Energy Port” following the commissioning of the largest domestically produced LNG unloading arm, indicating that CNOOC Yancheng “Green Energy Port” has ushered in a major milestone in localization in the field of LNG receiving terminals. Yancheng “Green Energy Port” will focus on the “big country”, focus on technological innovation, promote the high-quality development of LNG receiving stations with equipment localization, continue to explore high-end construction and operation equipment and technology, and set a model and benchmark for the development of the LNG industry.
