Zhejiang Jiahua New Materials Co., Ltd.’s project for producing 240,000 tons of high-performance synthetic rubber per year

On November 3, the Jiaxing Ecology and Environment Bureau issued a announcement regarding its decision on the approval of the environmental impact assessment documents for the first phase of Zhejiang Jiahua New Materials Co., Ltd.’s project to produce 240,000 tons of high-performance synthetic rubber per year. According to the announcement, this project is of a renovation nature and is located within the existing factory complex at No. 1 Binhai Avenue, Economic Development Zone, Haiyan County, Jiaxing City, Zhejiang Province. An investment of 1,232,918,100 yuan is planned, of which 60 million yuan will be allocated to environmental protection measures, in order to build a facility capable of producing 120,000 tons of high-performance synthetic rubber per year. The construction includes: 1 continuous production line with an annual capacity of 60,000 tons for solopolymerized styrene-butadiene rubber, and 1 flexible rubber production line with an annual capacity of 60,000 tons (which is shared by solopolymerized styrene-butadiene rubber, low-impact rubber, and thermoplastic styrene-butadiene rubber). Upon completion, the project will have an annual production capacity of 120,000 tons of high-performance synthetic rubber.
