(hereinafter referred to as “Dalian Shipbuilding Ocean Engineering”) announced that the construction ceremony for the third 7,500-cubic-meter liquid carbon dioxide carrier ship, commissioned by Aurora Company, was held in Dalian recently. These are among the world’s first carbon dioxide transport ships, which will be used in Europe’s carbon capture and storage programs. Designed specifically for the transport and storage of marine carbon, this ship is approximately 130 meters long. It is equipped with the world’s first semi-cold semi-pressure liquid cargo tanks, as well as LNG dual-fuel engines that meet the strictest emission standards currently in use. At the launch ceremony, Dachuan Offshore, together with key partners in the supply chain such as DNV, the 708th Research Institute of CSSC, Jiangsu Huazi Energy, and the German company TGE Engineering, signed a cooperation agreement for the development of 20,000 cubic meter CO2 transport vessels. They will work together in areas such as integration of industrial resources, scheme development, and research and development of storage devices, leveraging the strengths of each party to promote Dachuan Offshore’s product solutions worldwide.
