At 18:26 on December 17, once charging of the 4 main substations was completed, the 220-kilovolt alkylation substation – the first utility facility to be put into operation as part of Guangxi Petrochemical’s integration and transformation project – successfully received power. The 220 kV alkyd substation is equipped with 4 220 kV transformers, each with a capacity of 180 MVA, resulting in a total capacity of 720 MVA. This device serves as the infrastructure for the safe and stable operation of the entire integrated project; it will function as the power dispatch center for the project, providing safe, stable, and high-quality power supply to ensure the smooth commissioning of the project. Before the 220 kV alkyd substation was connected to the power supply, project managers worked together with equipment manufacturers and electrical operation personnel to thoroughly inspect all equipment within the area affected by the power connection, and to ensure that all steps related to the power connection, as well as safety measures and protective protocols, were properly in place. During the power reception process, the operators strictly follow the instructions from the grid control center as well as the steps outlined in the startup and trial operation plan. Following careful and orderly operations, all equipment is operating normally; the electrical signals and parameters are correct, and the transformer has entered normal operating condition.
