The pilot pile construction for the methanol synthesis unit and the syngas purification unit in Phase 1 of Yulin Chemical’s Phase 2 project has been successfully completed. Recently, further good news came regarding the construction of Phase 1 of this project: the 13 pilot piles in the methanol synthesis unit and syngas purification unit areas were completed successfully. Among them, the 9 pilot piles in the methanol synthesis unit area were finished 48 hours ahead of schedule, laying a solid foundation for the subsequent full-scale construction of the pile foundations. Faced with multiple challenges such as a complex stratigraphic structure in the construction area, large pile depths, and numerous concurrent operations on site, the Methanol Project Department formulated a three-step strategy to overcome these difficulties: it carried out accurate predictions and employed the rotary drilling mud wall protection technique to address the issues associated with drilling through sandy and rocky formations ; Establish a \"grid-based\" progress control system, and accelerate the project timeline through \"white+black\" shift work ; Plan resource allocation reasonably to advance pile testing work in an orderly manner with high quality and efficiency. It is reported that these pilot piles consist of cast-in-place piles with diameters of 800 mm/600 mm and lengths of 27 meters/30 meters. Various construction parameters were strictly controlled during the installation process, and the data obtained from these pilot piles provided key parameters for the subsequent construction of the actual engineering piles. This serves as a useful reference for ensuring the orderly progress of the main project.
