Xinjiang’s 1 million-ton acetic acid integrated project is set to begin trial operations 2025-05-06 15:34:37 It was learned recently that at the site of Xinjiang Zhonghe Hezhong New Materials Co., Ltd.’s acetic acid and its downstream products integrated project, the equipment has been installed, and workers are carrying out individual equipment tests as well as pipeline cleaning and pressure testing. Commissioning with feed-in is expected to be completed by May. Upon completion, this project will become the first acetic acid production facility in Xinjiang and the one with the largest capacity in the Northwest region, capable of producing 1 million tons of acetic acid and related products per year. 　　Xinjiang Zhonghe Hezhong New Materials Co., Ltd. is located in the Circular Economy Industrial Park in the southern part of the Hami High-Tech Industrial Development Zone, and construction began there in May 2023. The project is constructed in two phases. Phase 1 includes a gasification unit, a purification unit, a carbon monoxide separation unit, a sulfur recovery unit, an acetic acid production facility with an annual capacity of 1 million tons, and an acetic anhydride production facility with an annual capacity of 150,000 tons; accompanying this are the necessary storage and transportation facilities, utility systems, environmental protection measures, and auxiliary production facilities. 　　The water supply system designed for the factory incorporates processes such as raw water pretreatment, closed-loop cooling water systems, desalination stations, fire-fighting water supply, as well as integrated wastewater treatment and drainage systems, all aimed at achieving energy savings, water conservation, and environmental protection. At present, the main construction of the project has been completed, the equipment has been installed, and the project is now in the final testing phase.
