The green methanol project in Changzhi, Shanxi was approved. On October 30, the approval for the enterprise investment project related to the green circular utilization of solid waste resources was granted. The total investment for the project is 380 million yuan, to be implemented in two phases. Phase 1 focuses on the integrated development of \"pilot testing + large-scale production\" for the recycling of solid waste, involving the renovation of an existing 10-acre factory building (with areas designated for pretreatment and pilot testing of pyrolysis and gasification), as well as the construction of pretreatment facilities, pyrolysis and gasification plants, and methanol production workshops on a new 30-acre site. It is equipped with pre-treatment facilities such as sorting, drying, and crushing, a high-temperature pyrolysis gasification system, a gas purification and reforming system (for dust removal and desulfurization), as well as a green methanol production line; simultaneously, a doctoral workstation is established as part of the infrastructure. 270 tons of organic solid waste are processed per day, yielding 20,000 tons of green methanol annually. Phase 2 focuses on the comprehensive utilization of coal gangue, aiming to establish a closed-loop system of \"waste recycling – resource regeneration – green products\". A new factory and production line for coal gangue-based polymerized environmental-friendly coal substitute particles will be built, covering an area of 20,000㎡. Synchronize and provide the corresponding auxiliary facilities, machinery and equipment, as well as transportation vehicles. 3,000 tons of coal gangue are processed per day, yielding 900,000 tons of environmentally friendly fuel pellets annually.
