Recently, the first key piece of equipment for Sinopec Maoming Petrochemical’s refinery transformation and upgrading project, as well as the ethylene quality improvement project – namely the coking tank section of the 3 million tons per year RTC (high-efficiency catalytic cracking of heavy oil) unit – was successfully lifted into place, marking the entry of the project into the phase of installing major equipment. To date, 70 of the 112 main projects under this initiative have commenced construction, with 13 process units entering the full-scale construction phase. The RTC facility was jointly constructed by the engineering construction company and the Fourth Construction Company. The core equipment, the regenerator, weighs approximately 2,000 tons, and its installation was carried out in 5 stages. The first stage, the coking tank section, weighs about 260 tons, and its installation was accomplished with precision by the shipping company using a 750-ton class crawler crane. To ensure the smooth progress of the lifting operations, the Project Management Department of Maoming Petrochemical organized relevant parties to hold discussions, and for the first time within the system introduced and applied the \"Lifting Package\" approach. This approach enables comprehensive management of all materials related to lifting operations, including the plan, machinery inspection forms, and lifting lug inspection confirmation forms. During the lifting process, the relevant parties worked closely together, strictly adhering to their assigned responsibilities to ensure the safe completion of the lifting operation.
