! The Dongjing project in Wuhai, Inner Mongolia, involving a total investment of 5.512 billion yuan for the production of 1.2 million tons of PBAT biodegradable polyester, has been approved. June 10, 2025 – On June 7, Inner Mongolia Dongjing Zhongke New Materials Co., Ltd.’s project to produce 1.2 million tons of PBAT biodegradable polyester per year was approved for registration. The notification from the Uda District Development and Reform Commission indicates that the industrial project of Inner Mongolia Dongjing Zhongke New Materials Co., Ltd., which involves the production of 1.2 million tons per year of PBAT biodegradable polyester, meets the industry policies and market access standards; therefore, its registration is approved. Construction location: Wuhai City -- Wuda District -- Wuda Industrial Park, Wuhai High-Tech Industry Development Zone. Total investment: 5,512.16 million yuan, of which self-funded amount is 1,653.65 million yuan, bank loans applied for amount to 3,858.51 million yuan, and other sources amount to 0 million yuan. Planned construction period: October 2025 to October 2027. Construction scale and scope: This project aims to build a production line for biodegradable polyester PBAT resin with an annual output of 1.2 million tons, as well as a THF recovery unit. Additionally, auxiliary facilities such as a central control room, substation, cabinet room, tank area, heat medium station, circulating water station, and sewage treatment station will be constructed. Inner Mongolia Dongjing Zhongke New Materials Co., Ltd. was established on March 4, 2025, with Inner Mongolia Dongjing Bio-Environmental Protection Technology Co., Ltd. and Beijing Zhongke Green Energy New Materials Co., Ltd. holding 58% and 42% of the shares respectively. Inner Mongolia Dongjing Bio-Environmental Protection Technology Co., Ltd. is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Inner Mongolia Dongyuan Technology Group Co., Ltd., and it has established a production capacity of 380,000 tons per year for 1,4-butanediol (BDO).
