The CNOOC Shell 350,000 tons per year benzene project in Huizhou, Guangdong, has a total investment of 711.88 million yuan. This project is located in the Daya Bay Petrochemical Industrial Zone in Huizhou City, Guangdong Province, and is funded and constructed by CNOOC Shell Petrochemical Co., Ltd. This project primarily employs the thermal cracking and dealkylation process to build a pure benzene plant with an annual production capacity of 350,000 tons, along with supporting utility systems and auxiliary production facilities. The main scope includes the construction of a new benzene plant, the plant’s substation, and the cabinet room, as well as partial renovations to the existing product tanks, pyrolysis gasoline tanks, aromatic hydrocarbon tanks, thermal piping networks, and water supply and drainage networks. The total investment for the project is 711.88 million yuan.
