The phosphate production unit of Wuhuan Company’s Xinxiangyun project completed its initial trial run successfully. Recently, good news came from the Sinochem Xinxiangyun New Materials Industrial Park in WuXue City, Hubei Province: the core units of this new phosphorus-based materials project, which were constructed under the general contract of China National Chemical Engineering Corporation’s Wuhuan Company, namely the medium-grade flame retardants and potassium dihydrogen phosphate production units (collectively referred to as the phosphate production units), successfully completed their initial trial run, marking steady progress toward the full operation of the project. Phase I of the project covers an area of approximately 2,000 mu. Using phosphate rock, sulfur, and pyrite as raw materials, it produces bulk products such as compound fertilizers. At the same time, the phosphogypsum generated is utilized comprehensively, thereby enabling the stepwise use of wet-process phosphoric acid and maximizing the added value of the products. Upon completion and operation of the project, it is expected to generate an output value of 10 billion yuan and create approximately 1,200 new jobs, bringing significant economic and social benefits. The phosphate plant utilizes the continuous phosphate crystallization technology independently developed by Wuhuan Company, offering significant advantages such as a short process flow, high degree of automation, excellent product consistency, and low energy consumption. Its crystallizer scrubber tower and crystallizer are designed as an integrated unit, offering a compact structure ; Internal guide cylinders and agitators are installed to create a stable internal circulation slurry flow field, which not only ensures an optimal crystallization environment but also facilitates the growth of particle crystals, thereby enabling high-quality continuous crystallization production. Next, the project team will strictly comply with the requirements set by the group company for creating star-rated standardized construction sites for engineering projects, further optimize the project commissioning plan, and accumulate experience in startup and operational phases, thereby injecting new momentum into the high-quality development of China’s chemical engineering industry. Recently, the Zhonghua Chemical Xinxiangyun New Materials Industrial Park in Wuxue City reached an important milestone. The phosphate plant, the core facility of the Xinxiangyun phosphorus-based new materials project, which was contracted out by China Wuhuan Engineering Co., Ltd. under China National Chemical Corporation, has been successfully completed in accordance with the planned schedule. This significant progress lays a solid foundation for the full-scale testing of the project and its future operation. The phosphoric acid plant of the Xinxiangyun phosphorus-based new materials project was constructed using China Wuhuan Company’s proprietary semi-hydrate–dihydrate process patent technology. This process not only consumes less energy but also achieves a high phosphorus recovery rate and the production of high-quality gypsum. Compared to traditional dihydrate process plants, its energy consumption is reduced by over 50%, while the phosphorus recovery rate is increased from 95% to over 98%. The successful application of this technology has not only promoted Xiangyun Co., Ltd.’s industrial upgrading in the phosphorus chemicals sector, but it also represents a practical implementation of the concepts of efficient resource utilization and green, low-carbon development.
