The Linyi Gangtou New Energy 1.16 million-ton coal dry distillation and comprehensive utilization project has a total investment of 2.8 billion yuan. It was jointly funded and constructed by Shagang Group and other parties, covering an area of 550 mu. The project involves the construction of two large-scale rammed coke ovens, as well as environmental protection facilities such as waste heat power generation and sulfur and nitrogen removal systems. Once in operation, it will produce 1.16 million tons of coke and 270 million cubic meters of gas per year. The gas generated during coke production can be used to extract high-purity hydrogen, while by-products such as coal tar can be utilized in the chemical industry. The Linyi Gangtou New Energy Hydrogen Industry Base project, located 1000 meters away, can purify the coke oven gas from this project to produce hydrogen, thus creating a circular chain of \"coal carbonization – coke production – hydrogen production – chemical manufacturing\".
