On December 4, the Huzhou Ecology and Environment Bureau issued a notice intending to provide its approval comments on the environmental impact assessment documents for construction projects (non-nuclear and non-radiological). Project Name: Zhejiang Shixian New Materials Co., Ltd. – Green Integrated Production of High-End New Materials from Recycled Resources (Phase I)
Location of Construction: Lingang Chemical Industrial Park, Meixi Town, Anji County

Project Overview: An additional 330 mu of land will be utilized to make full use of bamboo biomass resources, with 2 gasification units capable of producing 200,000 tons per year being built. It is capable of producing 32,000 tons per year of polyimide materials, 104,000 tons per year of cleaning agents specifically for electronic use (high-purity methanol), 113,000 tons per year of diluents for electronic use (solvents for battery electrolytes: dimethyl carbonate, methyl ethyl carbonate, diethyl carbonate), as well as various bulk gases for electronics (hydrogen, nitrogen, argon). At the same time, the plant is equipped with auxiliary facilities such as gas turbine units with a combined capacity of around 25 MW, waste gas incineration systems, and air separation and air compression units. Approximately 738 new units of equipment such as gasifiers, reactors, storage tanks, distillation towers, steam turbines, compressors, and heat exchangers have been added. The project was developed through a partnership between the company and China Chemical Sideng Ningbo Engineering Co., Ltd., using the EPC turnkey contract model; the official contract was signed in November 2023.
