Recently, the pre-submission public notice for the environmental impact assessment of Phase II of Shandong Marriott Crop Science Co., Ltd.’s project to increase production capacity by 36,000 tons per year in terms of bioenzyme-synthesized glyphosate ammonium salt masterbatches and formulated mixtures was posted on the Marriott Group’s official website. The construction entity, Shandong Marriott Crop Science Co., Ltd., plans to invest a total of 61.1 million yuan (of which 2 million yuan is allocated to environmental protection measures, accounting for 3.3%) to utilize the existing idle factories within its premises for the construction of a project aimed at increasing production capacity to 36,000 tons per year of bio-enzyme synthesized glyphosate ammonium salt masterbatches and formulated mixtures – this is the second phase of the project. According to the environmental impact assessment, the expansion project of Shandong Marriott Crop Science Co., Ltd., which aims to increase annual production to 36,000 tons of bioenzyme-synthesized glyphosate ammonium salt masterbatches and formulated products, will be carried out in two phases. In the first phase, equipment for formulating and packaging these products will be purchased, including mixing tanks, intermediate tanks, finished product tanks, filling machines, packaging lines, granulator machines, sulfurization beds, and granulation tanks; waste gas treatment facilities will also be installed. Upon completion of the first phase, the annual production capacity for formulated products will be 16,000 tons. In the second phase, equipment for the production of active pharmaceutical ingredients will be purchased, including fermentation tanks, feeding tanks, metering tanks, defoaming tanks, mixing tanks, batching kettles, conversion tanks, compounding kettles, and evaporation kettles. Environmental protection facilities such as those for treating waste gas and wastewater will also be installed. Once completed, the second phase will enable an annual production capacity of 20,000 tons of the bioenzyme-synthesized glyphosate ammonium salt active pharmaceutical ingredient. Shandong Marriott Crop Science Co., Ltd., formerly known as Shandong Marriott Fertilizer Co., Ltd., is part of the Marriott Group. It was established on September 5, 2012, with its registered address at No. 166 Liyuan Street, Yuhuangmiao Town, Shanghe County, Jinan City, Shandong Province. The legal representative is Liu Yujia.
