[Haichuan Overseas Engineering] 750,000 tons/year food-grade PET project at Wankai New Materials (Indonesia) factory

As announced by China National Chemical Third Construction Co., Ltd. in December 2025, the groundbreaking ceremony for the 750,000 tons per year food-grade PET production facility built by the company’s Singapore branch at Wan Kai New Materials’ plant in Indonesia was held on-site at the KSI industrial park in Banten Province, Indonesia. The project is located in the KSI industrial park in Banten Province, Indonesia, covering an area of 260,000 square meters. As a leader in the industry, Wan Kai New Materials now has an annual production capacity of 3 million tons, and maintains a leading market share both domestically and internationally. The planned production capacity of 750,000 tons per year for this project in Indonesia will further strengthen its global presence. Upon completion, the project will not only serve as a key driver for the upgrading of Indonesia’s petrochemical industry and meet the local demand for food packaging, but it will also be fully integrated into the Belt and Road Initiative, thereby injecting new momentum into the stability of regional industrial and supply chains as well as the sustainable development of the local economy and society.
