Recently, the first storage tank of Africa’s largest LNG storage and transportation complex project, which is under the general contracting of China National Chemical Engineering 14th Construction Corporation in Nigeria, was successfully lifted using air lifting； As the core phase in the construction of large LNG storage tanks, characterized by the highest level of process complexity and the greatest safety risks, the air lifting operation is referred to in the industry as an \"engineering miracle of lifting a thousand-ton dome using air\". The dome of Tank No. 1, the first phase of Nigeria’s LNG project with a capacity of 200,000 cubic meters, has a diameter of 88 meters, a lifting height of 37.4 meters, and a theoretical weight of nearly 900 tons. During the construction, China National Chemical Engineering 14th Construction Corporation utilized its independently developed intelligent lifting system and digital AI control throughout the process. By means of an intelligent pressure regulation system, a stable airflow was delivered into the enclosed space of the tank, allowing the steel dome weighing nearly a thousand tons to be lifted to the designed height with precision. The entire process was characterized by \"automatic balance, real-time monitoring, and placement to within millimeters\", thus demonstrating the company’s leading expertise in the construction of large-scale LNG storage tanks. The successful completion of this key milestone marks the entry of the construction of Africa’s largest LNG cryogenic storage and transportation complex into a critical phase. Thanks to the robust strength of China’s proprietary patented technologies, it provides strong impetus for the implementation of Nigeria’s energy strategy for the \"Year of Capacity Expansion\" as well as for the transition to clean energy in West Africa.
