Ates invests 2.4 billion yuan in a green electricity-based direct hydrogen production project in Inner Mongolia

On January 27, the hydrogen-based green fuel grid-connected green power direct connection project (hydrogen production phase) of Bayannur Chiyu New Energy Co., Ltd. in Dengkou County was approved for registration. The project is located in Bayannur City, Dengkou County – it is situated about 7 kilometers northwest of Dengkou County, to the south of the Wulambuhé Ecological Avenue. The project owner is Bayannur Chiyu New Energy Co., Ltd., with a total investment of 2,415,682,600 yuan. For the hydrogen production section of this project, one hydrogen production station will be built, along with 106 units of alkaline water electrolysis equipment capable of producing hydrogen at a rate of 1,000 Nm³/h, along with the associated facilities. In addition, hydrogen storage capacity of 520,000 Nm³ will be established. The maximum hydrogen production capacity of this new energy project is 127,200 Nm³/h, resulting in an annual production of approximately 562 million Nm³ of green hydrogen. Phase 1 of the project involves the construction of 44 alkaline electrolysis hydrogen production units with a capacity of 1,000 Nm³/h each, along with associated facilities. Additionally, a hydrogen storage facility with a capacity of 220,000 Nm³ will be built. The maximum hydrogen production capacity of this new energy project is 52,800 Nm³/h, resulting in an annual production of approximately 224 million Nm³ of green hydrogen.
