Construction of Hubei MinTeng Waste Salt Comprehensive Utilization (Chlor-alkali) Project Commences

Recently, the Hubei Minteng New Materials Technology Waste Salt Comprehensive Utilization (Chlor-alkali) project, constructed by 16th Chemical Construction Company, officially commenced construction. Covering an area of about 300 mu, the project focuses on the recycling of waste salt, and plans to build production facilities with an annual capacity of 600,000 tons of chlor-alkali products. Upon completion of the project, it will have an annual production capacity of 400,000 tons of caustic soda produced by the ion-exchange membrane method, 200,000 tons of solid caustic soda, and 532,500 tons of liquid chlorine. This will not only help to address the issue of waste salt disposal but also strengthen the industrial chain within the park and enhance the overall competitiveness of the industry. It holds great significance for improving the regional salt chemical industry chain and promoting the development of a circular economy.
