On March 31, the draft environmental impact assessment report for Guangxi Hua Yi Energy Chemical Co., Ltd.’s 1-butene project was made public. The \"Environmental Impact Assessment Report (Draft) for Guangxi Hua Yi Energy Chemical Co., Ltd.’s 1-butene Project\" has been largely completed. In accordance with the relevant provisions of the \"Measures for Public Participation in Environmental Impact Assessment\" (Ministerial Order No. 4), the information regarding the environmental impact assessment of this construction project is made public, so as to understand the public’s attitudes toward this project as well as their opinions and suggestions on environmental protection, and to accept public supervision. 1. Name of the construction project: 1-Butene Project of Guangxi Hua Yi Energy Chemical Co., Ltd. 2. Nature of the project: Renovation and expansion. 3. Location of the project: Within the Qinzhou Port Petrochemical Industrial Park, in the Qinzhou Port area of the China (Guangxi) Free Trade Pilot Zone, China. 4. Contents of the project construction: This project involves building a unit with an annual production capacity of 56,000 tons of 1-butene within the existing factory complex. The raw material, carbon tetrahydrocarbons, will come from the MTO unit; the produced 1-butene will be sold or used internally. The heavier carbon tetrahydrocarbon components will be sent to Fubao storage tanks or used internally, while the other lighter carbon tetrahydrocarbon components and non-condensable gases will be returned to the MTO unit for further processing. The project also includes the construction of environmental protection facilities, storage and transportation systems, as well as various auxiliary facilities.
