Recently, with the installation of the final unit of the methanol C tank completed, the installation of the custom-made equipment for the liquid storage and transportation facilities in Gansu Juhua’s high-performance silicon-fluorine new materials integrated project – a project that was constructed under EPC contract by China Fifth Ring Engineering Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of China National Chemical Engineering Corporation – has been finished. This marks a solid foundation for the full-scale commencement of the process installation work. The liquid storage and transportation facilities are the key units for storage and transportation in this project; with a high density of containers and various types of fluids, the organization of construction is quite challenging. Faced with multiple challenges such as frequent extreme weather conditions and tight construction schedules, the project team took targeted actions to address these issues; it established a dedicated construction management team and implemented strict standards for project construction as well as rigorous quality control measures. During the installation process, the team strictly adhered to key procedures such as submitting raw materials for inspection before use, ensuring precise control of equipment dimensions, carrying out thorough anti-corrosion and rust-removal work on wall panels, and implementing strict quality control measures for welding. They fully complied with safety regulations and standardized operating procedures, strengthened specialized safety briefings and regular on-site inspections, thereby establishing a solid defense mechanism for quality and safety. The construction teams worked together in coordination and efficiently, while the technical management team was on-site throughout to provide guidance, ensuring real-time oversight of the construction processes and thus facilitating the successful completion of the installation of the tank’s main structure.
