On April 9, the approval for the registration of Sinopec (Guangzhou) High-End New Materials Co., Ltd.’s new 350,000 tons per year polypropylene production facility was granted. The total investment in the project is 1.266 billion yuan. A new polypropylene plant with a capacity of 350,000 tons per year will be built. The project site is located on Petrochemical Road, Wenchong Subdistrict, Huangpu District, Guangzhou. Project Scale and Scope This polypropylene (PP) plant utilizes Sinopec’s domestic third-generation loop polypropylene technology, with a designed annual production capacity of 350,000 tons of virgin polypropylene granules. The plant consists of a single production line that can manufacture homopolymers, random copolymers, impact-resistant copolymers, and batch-alloyed products. The building area of this facility is 10,988.7 square meters, and it mainly includes cabinet rooms, substations, granulation plants, packaging plants, chemical storage areas, and finished product warehouses; its land area is 29,458 square meters.
