Sinopec’s projects planned for construction by 2026! 01 Sinopec Refining & Chemicals Phase II (Zhanjiang, Guangdong): Total investment: 38–40 billion yuan; Capacity: 1.2 million tons per year of ethylene and related products. Progress: Environmental impact assessment completed; construction is scheduled to begin in 2026, with operation set for 2027–2028, aiming to enhance the refining and chemical industry infrastructure in South China. 02 Luoyang Million-Ton Ethylene Project (Luoyang, Henan): Total investment: 27.8 billion yuan (estimated tax-exclusive cost of around 26 billion yuan); Capacity: 1 million tons per year of ethylene plus 13 production units. Progress: Preparatory work is underway; construction is planned to start in 2026, with the goal of establishing a petrochemical hub in central China. 03 Tarim Refining & Chemicals Integration Project (Xinjiang): Total investment: Approximately 30 billion yuan; Capacity: 8.5 million tons per year of oil refining, 800,000 tons per year of ethylene, and 800,000 tons per year of aromatics. Progress: Construction began in September 2025, with ongoing work expected through 2026, with operation set for 2028, aiming to develop an energy and chemical industry hub in Northwest China
