The erection of the 53-meter ultra-large-span scraper crane frame for the Ras Al Khair Phosphate Fertilizer Project was completed successfully. Recently, driven by the enthusiasm of the \"Six Competitions and Six Innovations: Striving for Excellence\" themed labor competition organized by Sinochem Third Construction Company, a highly challenging \"aerial ballet\" was performed with great success at the Ras Al Khair Phosphate Fertilizer Project located in the company’s Saudi branch. A giant gantry for a material raking machine, with a span of 53 meters, a height of 25 meters, and a weight of 76 tons, was successfully lifted, rotated, and placed in position with precision, thanks to the combined efforts of an 800-ton crawler crane for primary lifting and two 130-ton truck cranes. This lifting operation is characterized by high difficulty, stringent safety requirements, and rigorous technical standards. It serves not only as a comprehensive test of the project team’s construction capabilities but also as a vivid demonstration of the spirit of the labor competition themed “Six Comparisons, Six Innovations: Striving for Excellence through Hard Work”. The branch company is responsible for the on-site installation of the two material-raking machines for this project, each with a total weight of 318 tons. The trapezoidal gantry lifted this time features a box-type segmented composite structure; after assembly, its span is 53 meters and its weight is 76 tons, classifying it as a large-scale and high-risk project. To address the challenges associated with large spans, heavy weights, and high precision requirements in construction, the project team of the branch company optimized the construction plan based on the actual conditions on site. They adopted an innovative \"one main and two auxiliary\" lifting approach, with one 800-ton crawler crane serving as the main lifter and two 130-ton truck cranes assisting in the lifting process. During the lifting process, the three machines worked in coordination with each other, ensuring smooth and orderly operations; the gantry rotated smoothly and was positioned accurately. The entire process was carried out efficiently, with everything completed in one go. This successful lifting operation verified the scientific and feasibility of the specialized plan; meanwhile, with a span of 53 meters, it set a new record for similar construction projects using the company’s material-scraping machines.
