Clariant signs an investment agreement with Leshan City for an innovative high-performance flame retardant project

On April 28, Clariant and the People’s Government of Wutongqiao District, Leshan City officially signed an investment agreement for the “Innovative High-Performance Flame Retardants Project” at Clariant’s Integrated Campus (OCC). Under the agreement, the joint venture will utilize the innovative technologies developed jointly by Clariant and Fuhua to create a new generation of high-performance phosphorus-based halogen-free flame retardants, providing efficient, safe, and sustainable flame retardant solutions for various industries such as construction materials, automotive, and electronics. The joint venture project is located in the Fuhua New Materials Integrated Industrial Park, with a planned land area of 50 mu, along with space reserved for expansion. The strategic partnership between the two parties is aimed at addressing the growing demand for efficient flame-retardant solutions in areas such as building materials, electric vehicles, new energy, and electronics and electrical equipment. By leveraging Fuhua Chemical’s manufacturing strengths and Clariant’s world-leading flame-retardant technologies, they work together to develop and produce innovative phosphorus-based flame-retardant products.
