Recently, the hoisting operations for the core equipment of the 600,000-ton/year acetic acid unit in Zhongrong New Energy (Kekedala)’s project for the production of 1.8 million tons/year of fine chemicals and 4,000 tons/year of hydrogen for use in batteries were successfully completed. These core pieces of equipment include the product tower and the light-end removal tower. Both the finished tower and the degassing tower to be lifted this time are key core equipment of the plant; they are characterized by large size and heavy weight, which requires high standards for lifting operations as well as strict control measures. To ensure the safe and efficient completion of the lifting operations, the project team carried out thorough preparations in advance and made meticulous plans. They completed the preliminary tasks such as foundation replacement at the lifting site and in the area where the equipment would be placed, as well as the development of specialized plans for lifting large-scale equipment. The team also organized specialized technical briefings for all staff to clarify their responsibilities and key operating procedures, and ensured that all safety measures were strictly implemented, thus laying a solid foundation for the smooth execution of the lifting operations. At the lifting site, a 1,200-ton crawler crane is used as the main lifting device, and a 400-ton crawler crane is used as the auxiliary lifting device, employing a dual-crane coordinated lifting method. With close cooperation among the staff in various positions and proper procedures, it took only 3.5 hours to efficiently position the two devices accurately.
