Successful primary power reception at the main substation of Hainan Sikeyuan’s 300,000 tons/year bioenergy project

On May 19, the main substation of Hainan Sikeyuan’s 300,000 tons per year bioenergy project was successfully powered up for the first time, achieving the key milestone goal one day ahead of schedule. At present, the power system of the project is operating smoothly, with all key parameters meeting the design and regulatory requirements, thus laying a solid foundation for subsequent construction and successful commissioning. The Hainan Sikeyuan project is located in the Yangpu Economic Development Zone of Danzhou City, Hainan Province. It covers an area of about 100,000 square meters, with a total investment of around 1.2 billion yuan. It is a key project in Hainan Province’s efforts to promote green and low-carbon development as well as to build a modern industrial system. The project mainly involves the construction of a 300,000 tons per year biojet fuel hydrogenation unit, a 2,000 Nm/h light hydrocarbon hydrogen production unit, as well as other auxiliary production, storage, and transportation facilities and supporting utility systems. It is planned to use waste animal and plant oils such as acidified oil and gutter oil as raw materials to produce green energy products such as naphtha, biodiesel, and biojet fuel. Once completed, the project will effectively reduce environmental pollution and significantly cut carbon emissions, holding great strategic significance for ensuring regional energy security, promoting the development of a circular economy, and supporting the construction of Hainan Free Trade Port.
