I dare to ask: does a high opening torque of a valve mean that more resistance is encountered when opening the valve? :lol
Firstly, there are more than one reason for high starting torque, but when it is not possible to start or stop quickly, it will suffer from significant impact from the medium； I’m not sure whether you have a manual valve or a automatically controlled valve. If it’s an automatically controlled valve, it is recommended to increase the torque of the actuator by 30%-50% as a safety measure. Some manufacturers produce valves with high torque in the first place; valves of the same diameter and material from these manufacturers can have a torque that is one or two times higher than those from other manufacturers.
