Seeking help from experts for the safety engineer exam

I have an associate degree in biopharmaceutical technology and have worked in a medical chemicals company for six years. Can I apply to become a certified safety engineer? If possible, can I still sign up this year?
This year, the registration deadline was moved up earlier, and ironically, the approval process was halted again. I think it was intentional.
