Dear sea friends: Does anyone know how to adjust the blower and exhaust fan of a 6-ton boiler? What is the relationship between smoke emission from the boiler and the operation of the blower and exhaust fan?
I guess what you mean by the boiler smoking is smoke coming out from the furnace door, indicating that the combustion is operating under positive pressure. Either the exhaust fan isn’t drawing air out enough, or the blower is set too high. If it’s a newly installed boiler, it’s possible that the induced draft fan is undersized. If it is an existing boiler and there is a sudden change in operating temperature, check the current of the exhaust fan to see if the load on the boiler has increased.
