I want to know whether hex head bolts specifically refer to ordinary carbon steel bolts with low strength grades, such as grade 4.8, 6.8, or 35#. Are bolts of grade 8.8 and above not considered hex head bolts, but rather double-headed studs? 2. Bolts with a strength of 8.8 or higher are considered high-strength bolts; are 35CrMo bolts also high-strength bolts? Can grade 8.8 and 35CrMo be combined into one – grade 8.8 with material 35CrMo – or cannot these two be mixed together? In my documents, hex bolts made of grade 8.8 material 35CrMo are described, which means that these three descriptions refer to the same part

I’m confused myself. Bolts, double-headed bolts, and hex bolts are different categories of bolt structures; there are also strength grades for bolts. 35CrMo is a material used for making bolts. Keep them separate and don’t mix them up

Hex head bolts, double-headed bolts (which are technically referred to as studs) belong to the category of fasteners. The 8.8 grade is independent of the material strength level.
