Every time shutdowns for maintenance occur, it is found that the trays in Line 1 are severely clogged – what is the reason?
Salt formation and scaling blockages are problems that occur in other atmospheric and vacuum distillation units as well; it’s just that the severity varies
Is the electrodialysis performance of yours not good?
What exactly is causing the blockage? Is it due to the salt or due to the corrosion inhibitor? If the location of the corrosion inhibitor injection port is at the rising point (that is, before reaching the highest point of the outlet), it is possible for the corrosion inhibitor to get blocked!
It might be ammonium salt scaling; the electrodesalination effect is not ideal
