I am a senior graduate; after much effort and going through several interviews, I finally secured a job at a gas company as an operation trainee. The first job sets a tone; given that my major is chemical engineering and I am also interested in this field, I chose the chemical industry. A few colleagues once discussed salary issues, referring to people in industries like computing as \"losers,\" and we’re striving to become such \"losers\" ourselves. It’s not that there aren’t high-paying jobs in the chemical industry, but overall, the salaries are fairly average after a few years of working there. However, those experienced professionals with good skills do receive decent salaries

The overall situation is not good; the salaries are not as high as those in the IT and finance sectors, that’s just how it is.
