I have been working at an industrial pump and chemical pump factory for half a year, and most days the factory releases some strong, irritating plastic gases. I’m not sure what harm these gases can cause to the human body; I would like to ask some experts and knowledgeable individuals for their advice.

Anything with a plastic smell is generally toxic, it’s just a matter of the concentration; when there is a smell, it usually means the level exceeds the **emission standards**.
PVC is toxic when heated, so toxic gases are produced during its production process. PP, PTFE is non-toxic
It is estimated that the high temperatures during production caused some of the PVC to decompose
